Welcome to Locants
LocANTS was founded with a vision to bring smiles to more faces by bringing the most needed medical interventions to the sickest new-borns in order to give them a better shot at life!
The current teams providing critical care and transport services at ANTS and similar other services across the country are doing a phenomenal job. However, due to the sheer nature of the task, every moment counts when the clock gets ticking.
LocANTS was conceptualised by Dr Arunava Dhar while working as a speciality doctor in the ANTS team. It was born out of his own experience and a passion to make the service even better.
He was ably supported by Dr Susan Broster, the then lead of ANTS, currently Deputy Medical Director at Addenbrookes Hospital and Global Officer at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). Sue has continued to be a strong force behind LocANTS and leads the clinical strategy of this program.
Dr Dhar and Dr Broster is supported in this program by Ranadip Chatterjee, who provides the technology strategy, and also looks after the commercial interests in the program. Ranadip is a long time technology specialist, having spent time at Yahoo and Google, and also a medtech entrepreneur who holds an MBA from London Business School.
LocANTS is very fortunate to also benefit from an illustrious board of advisors including senior leaders from Eastern AHSN, Health Enterprise East, Judge Business School, NHS Commissioner’s office as well as alumni from the London Business School. We expect to further expand the board as we progress on to the next phase of the program.
